Garrett is home!

Garrett is home! Garrett is home! Our favorite guy is finally home!

Rae and I picked G up from the airport Friday night and haven't let him very far out of our sight since.

We spent our weekend doing not much of anything......mostly just being together. Which is just the way we wanted it. We spent our time eating yummy food, watching fun shows, and making Rae laugh. That little girl was pretty much glued to her dad all weekend.

On Saturday morning Garrett kicked me out of the house to give me a little breather from mom-duty.  I was able to steal a couple hours of crafting with my good friend Carly! And it.was.awesome! I came back with some adorable stuff, and totally refreshed and ready for mom-duty again.

On Sunday we went on another gorgeous little hike with Carly and Joel. The air was fresh, the weather couldn't have been more perfect, and the views were breathtaking. We would be lying if we denied that Arizona is stealing our hearts.
Aside from that, Garrett and I spent an abnormally high amount of time these past few days just talking. Last night we just chatted for hours about nothing in particular. Some serious stuff, some silly stuff, and a lot of laughing. We've been making a conscious effort to 'unplug' lately, and we are loving it. I'm not sure when, but somewhere along the line we replaced a lot of quality time together, with pointlessly browsing our social media apps and playing stupid iPhone games. Snapping out of that iphone/gadget/social media world has been such a good decision.

I went to bed last night with a happy heart, feeling so blessed. Blessed with a loving husband who is my very best friend and a little girl who brings more light and joy into our lives than we ever could have imagined. Blessed with friends who have made this transition to Arizona so easy and so effortless. And blessed to be surrounded by such beauty, and to call this beautiful place home. God is so good.
